I Fell Asleep During a Past Life Regression — Something Shifted the Next Morning

I wasn’t expecting anything dramatic when I tried a past life regression meditation — especially since I slept through most of it.
I usually have to sit cross-legged during meditations and body scans because if I lie down, I tend to fall asleep. Whenever I try a meditation lying down, I repeat the same reminder to myself: now is not the time to sleep. It works sometimes. For shorter ten- or fifteen-minute sessions I can usually stay awake.
A few weeks ago I decided to try something different — a longer past life regression meditation. I laid down with a blanket, sunlight coming through the window, and within minutes… I was asleep. Halfway through the recording I woke up and thought, damn, I fell asleep. Before trying again, I got up, stretched, used the bathroom, and drank some water. I told myself again, this is not the time to sleep.
Then I laid down for round two. In hindsight I probably should have sat up this time. I managed to stay awake maybe a minute longer than the first attempt before drifting off again. I woke up two or three minutes before the session ended, laid there for a moment, then got up and went back to making dinner.
At the time, I didn’t think the past life regression had made much of a difference.
But the next morning something felt different.
I woke up suddenly and sat up in bed. As I opened my eyes, I had the clear feeling that something had shifted. I could feel it in my body and in the energy of the house. It may have been the past life regression, or it may have been the accumulation of all the other meditations I’ve been doing daily.
Either way, I started my morning meditation in an unusually good mood. I could not stop smiling. I felt like I accomplished the day before the day started. That’s a very different vibe to be on.
Since then, I haven’t popped awake like that again, but the sense of quiet momentum has stayed — like I’m already on the right wavelength before anything even happens.
Sometimes the shifts we’re looking for don’t happen during the practice — they show up the next morning.
Have you ever tried a past life regression meditation?
If you're curious, the regression I tried was this one:https://youtu.be/qN1-i1azai8?si=sTjaQ3Gv8oiletr2
