I finally did it! I finally got my tongue tie release. It took a long time to get here, there were so many bumps in the road. A lot of moments where I didn’t feel safe in my body, or with the specialize dentist to perform this procedure.

I am already feeling and seeing the changes in my body as it reorganizes itself.

  • now post release, my body doesn’t feel as tight and tensed up like before

  • my body is not in constant pain. I am not at a 5/6 it has dropped maybe to a 3/2.

  • I can lift my arms over my head comfortably

  • my ears feel like they are draining which is a good thing

  • my teeth are sometimes chattering, another good thing

  • my tmj is beginning to loosen up like the rest of my body

  • the whites in midline and up of my eyes are so much brighter (noticeable by others)

  • my face has already changed its shape

  • I have started incorporating Japanese interval walking back in, and I want to do it.

  • I can finally lick ice cream/ popsicles in peace. No more ice cream in a cup with a spoon unless I choose to. No more excruciating pain and having to take pain relievers after. 🍦

I am video taping and voice noting my healing journey. Actions I could not properly do before have either become easier, or I can do them.

Shifting my mindset from what could go wrong to what could go right was one of the biggest bumps I had to get over. Doing visualizations before the release on how I wanted to feel and be post release was a major game changer.

It has been so exciting to witness!

Cheers!

(This is my experience, and not medical advise).
